Night Drives
Night-time game drives are an incredible experience and open up a new dimension to your safari. Many of the African bush's creatures are largely or wholly nocturnal and thus only being able to head out onto a reserve in daylight will limit the things you can see. But not on Limpopo-Lipadi!
Limpopo-Lipadi is proud to offer night drives as a standard activity, something that is rarely available on large reserves in Botswana. You are welcome to control the spotlight, slowly panning it around the bush looking for the tell-tale reflections of eyes in the undergrowth. Or alternatively leave this to our rangers while you wrap up in a warm blanket against the cooler evening air.

Nocturnal rarities like aardvark, civet, porcupine and genet are often seen in this way as well as a good number of leopards and a host of owls, bushbabies and nightjars. The reserve also has a healthy population of the shy brown hyena, and the after-dark hours are the best time to find this seldom seen creature. Hearing the trumpet of elephants close by in the darkness or seeing the ghostly spectre of a spotted eagle owl float past silently adds another facet to your bush experience.
