Game Drives

Game viewing is what brings many people to Africa and it is no different at Limpopo-Lipadi. Our diverse range of habitats from dense, lush riverine forest to scorched, open plains and everything in between provides the ecological niches for a wide selection of animal species, birdlife and the micro-fauna that accompany them. These smaller species are perhaps best studied on a bush walk although its perfectly possible to break up a game drive, especially if its quiet in the bush, to get out and look for things with your ranger.

Just Relax!

Of course not everything at Limpopo-Lipadi has to be wildlife related and the peaceful isolation of our reserve provides the perfect setting to just sit (or lie!) back and relax, to rid yourself of the constant hustle and bustle of the city and let your body take on the slower pace of the bush. With beautiful weather most of the year there is always the option to soak up the warming rays of the Botswana sunshine, whether in the surrounds of your private lodge unit or on one of the comfortable loungers arranged by the pool at the central facility.

Night Drives

Night-time game drives are an incredible experience and open up a new dimension to your safari. Many of the African bush's creatures are largely or wholly nocturnal and thus only being able to head out onto a reserve in daylight will limit the things you can see. But not on Limpopo-Lipadi!

Bush Walks

After a few days of game drives and relaxing you will often want to check your legs still work so Limpopo-Lipadi offers a range of activities designed to make use of them! Our rangers can accompany you for walks in the bush or shareholders can head out on their own if sufficiently experienced.

Viewing Hides

While game drives in open vehicles are the staple safari activity all over Africa Limpopo-Lipadi is not just about replicating what everyone else does. After a few days the repetitive morning and afternoon schedule of drives can sometimes become a little monotonous and we understand that our shareholders and visitors want something extra. So to provide another new dimension to wildlife viewing we have started to create a network of viewing hides strategically placed across the reserve.
