Safaris

We understand that great game viewing and the true wilderness are what bring many people to Africa and we strive to offer experiences that match this. The diverse range of habitats on Limpopo-Lipadi provide the ecological niches for dozens of mammal species, nearly 400 birds, and innumerable insects, reptiles and amphibians which together make a trip here exhilarating.

Unlike many lodges and camps our safari activities do not have to operate on a rigid schedule. With our extremely low visitor density (less than 1 guest per 1000 acres even if River Camp is full) there is normally the option to be flexible and adapt programmes to suit everyone. Whether you want to start before dawn and see if you can catch the last stalk of a leopard before the sun bathes the landscape in its golden glow or perhaps lie in a while and take a gentle walk along the river with one of our rangers, stopping to examine tracks and watch wildlife from the hide, it is possible here.

Our team will try to learn more about the type of safari you would like, both before and during your stay, and deliver an experience to match. You can read more about various safari activities available on the reserve by following the other safari menu links.
