Our vision and values

Limpopo-Lipadi is a shareholder-owned, 32,500 hectare private game and wilderness reserve located in the Tuli Block, south-east Botswana. It offers an opportunity for those passionate about African wildlife to become directly involved as a shareholder / co-owner.

Our vision is to develop a world class game reserve with a sustainable balance between conservation, community and commerce in order to leave a conservation legacy in Botswana for the next generation. Limpopo-Lipadi stands for:

  • Protecting and conserving African wildlife and one of the most beautiful areas of African bushveld
  • Working together with, and uplifting, local communities - to create a sustainable project benefiting all
  • Joining an international community of similarly passionate friends - and enjoying the bush with them
  • The freedom to experience the bush as you like it - including self-guiding once trained by our team
  • Opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge - from animals to birds, archeology to bugs, local culture to the stars above, and more
  • High quality lodges and a fantastic range of activities that create unforgettable experiences - whether you want to explore the bush from dawn to dusk or just relax
  • Being involved with all of this at whatever level you like - from online discussions to hands-on game captures

One focus is on re-establishing and breeding endangered species but at the same time we provide education, jobs and opportunities for local communities. We understand that entire ecosystems need nurturing and protection, not just the visible apex predators or popular mega-fauna, so we cherish the diverse flora, trees and grasses, and carefully manage the hard environment that underpins all the creatures on the reserve. This includes sensitive game trail creation and lodge building so that mature trees and at risk species are preserved: a road can easily twist around a grove of beautiful syringas but you cannot readily replace them if they are felled. These values extend to our use of resources like power and water where we make use of solar systems and a biological treatment process for waste waters from the camps, helping to preserve the pristine qualities of the Limpopo River as it flows alongside the reserve.

If these values strike a chord with you - if this sounds like the African bush ... your way - then stay with us to learn more about the reserve, read about what our shareholders get up to or get in touch with us. Don't delay, come and discover the wilderness with us soon!
