Getting to Limpopo-Lipadi
The map below shows the route to take from OR Tambo airport in Johannesburg via the Zanzibar border post to Botswana. On passing through the border post just head north a few hundred metres to the tar road and turn right. The reserve west gate is in front of you and our security staff will be able to direct you to River Camp from there. Alternative routes via Platjan and Martin's Drift (Groblersbrug) are also possible. Detailed directions from the border posts can be downloaded here.
Complete Reserve Map
This interactive map of the reserve contains a huge amount of detail, including the game drive trails network, camps and lodges, landmark locations and more. This does mean that unless zoomed in closely it can be quite crowded with information! The window below allows you to zoom in and out of the map, clicking on many of Limpopo-Lipadi's features to reveal their placemark information. Just wait for the globe to rotate and zoom in to the reserve view and then enjoy exploring Limpopo-Lipadi virtually!
Border Posts
Access to Limpopo-Lipadi from South Africa usually means crossing the border at one of three posts - Zanzibar (ideal), Platjan or Martins Drift (Groblersbrug). However at some times of the year the high level of the Limpopo River can make Zanzibar and/or Platjan impassable. The table below summarises border availability on a month by month basis.
